Parasite

Parasite is a first-person multiplayer social deduction game set in a mysterious mansion with a retro, "PlayStation-inspired aesthetic".

Among the witnesses hides a parasite determined to eliminate them. Watch how others behave, share your suspicions, and decide who to trust. A familiar face is no guarantee of safety: the creature can hide inside another player, waiting for the right moment to take control.

As a Witness, explore the mansion and collect parts to craft improvised weapons and detection equipment. Stay close to your companions, investigate suspicious behavior, and help the group survive.

The Detective carries a weapon and must decide when to act. Listen to the other players and choose your target carefully—a convincing accusation does not always point to the real threat.

The Researcher has a detector and extractor to investigate possible infections and force the parasite out of its host. Testing takes time, and the results can be misleading. Work with the others to uncover the creature and protect each other during an extraction.

Playing as the Parasite? Enter another player's body and remain hidden inside while they continue moving around, unaware of your presence. Take control of your host to turn suspicion against them, deceive their companions, or strike when the group is vulnerable. Choose when to stay quiet and when to reveal yourself.

Explore the mansion, plunge its corridors into darkness, and keep an eye on your companions. Danger might be standing right beside you—or hiding inside you.

Playing with friends — Direct Connection

You can connect directly by setting up port forwarding or using a virtual LAN.

Option 1 — Radmin VPN or Hamachi

1. Everyone installs Radmin VPN or Hamachi and joins the same private network.
2. The host opens Direct Connection in Parasite, keeps port 27015, and selects Host Direct Game.
3. Other players enter the host’s IPv4 address shown in the VPN application under Server Address, use the same port, and select Connect to Address.

Keep the VPN application running while playing. Hamachi’s free plan supports up to 5 computers, including the host.

Option 2 — Router port forwarding

The host forwards TCP port 27015 on their router to port 27015 on their gaming PC’s local IPv4 address, then starts a direct game.

Other players connect using the host’s public IPv4 address and port 27015. Only the host needs to configure port forwarding. If your internet provider prevents incoming connections, try the virtual LAN option above.

Before connecting: everyone should use the same game version and allow Parasite through Windows Firewall. If you change the game’s port, use that port throughout the setup.

Coming to Steam

Parasite is planned for release on Steam in the future. Steam lobbies and friend invites will make joining your friends much simpler, without needing to set up port forwarding or a virtual LAN.
